Students in Rooms 12 and 15 have a vocabulary quiz tomorrow afternoon and a chapter test on Monday. The Quizlet is a great way to prepare for the vocabulary quiz, and I'll have a study sheet tomorrow for the test.
Progress reports will be issued on Friday. I had to send the grades to the office this morning, so the averages you see on the progress report won't include this week's quiz and tests.

Tonight , students have a practice test to complete for math homework. I'm planning to go over it tomorrow, then give the real test while the material is fresh in everyone's minds. This will also benefit students who were absent today, who can see all of the samples before trying the graded assessment.
In Science, students should go to the Google Classroom and use the Quizlet link there to practice for Thursday's vocabulary quiz. Today's lesson in math was an extension of yesterday's, with one added twist: students need to add zeroes, or a decimal point with zeroes, to the dividends in the problems in order to complete them. For example, if the problem is 13.2 divided by 4, the 13.2 will have to become 13.20 in order to finish the problem. Or, in the case of 12 divided by 0.8, the 12 must become 12.0 before solving.
Sounds complicated, but the kids were handling it well in class. Morning math is also due tomorrow from the day I was sick ("Januember Math") I'll put that on the Google Classroom when I get home today. In addition to the written math homework tonight, if each student could bring to school one small item that they think is magnetic and one that they think is non-magnetic, it would help us with our next science demonstration.
The written homework for me tonight is Practice Book 5.6, both sides. |
