The Math MCAS test went well today, in the sense that the students took their time and cooperated to the maximum extent. Next round is Thursday (MCAS Math Part 2).
No written homework tonight.

Students should bring a silent reading book, a pencil, water bottle, and snack to school tomorrow for the MCAS Math exam.
No written homework tonight. OH NO-- I haven't posted the class's homework on this blog since...what? April 11th? OH NO.
Well, here it goes again. On Monday, the students had a worksheet called "Campas Leaf," about area and perimeter, and also a morning math worksheet called "April Showers: THIRD SIDE." On Tuesday they had to complete a double sided worksheet on triangles and quadrilaterals, along with a "Free Throws for Free" practice page. Last night it was a double sided worksheet on Volume. Why, oh why, did I forget to post anything here? Are the fifth graders' forgetful ways rubbing off on their teacher? FINALLY, there are three forms to fill out and have your 5th grader turn in. 1) "Donut treat" permission slip (Room 12 only) 2) Yellow placement form (for 6th grade placement meetings) 3) Pink field trip form (for Museum of Science trip in June) Let's get those signed and turned in as soon as possible. And I promise to be better about this blog!!!!! Tonight's homework is to finish the "Morning Math" (both sides) for the week. I'll shove a copy onto the Google Classroom when I get home from school.
Students should use their study sheets to prepare for tomorrow's Science test.
Math homework is Practice Book 10.1, both sides. |
