Tonight's math homework is Lesson 1.9 (we're skipping 1.8) in the Practice book, both sides. It's a lesson about problem solving, which often leads to frustration from both students and parents. If your 5th grader spends 30 minutes on the lesson and still doesn't understand what to do, write a note on the page and let them come to school with the assignment incomplete. It's their homework, not yours, and you shouldn't have to spend an hour and more hovering over your 5th grader to make sure every last word problem is correctly done.
In Science, students should continue to study their vocabulary for Friday's quiz. There's a copy of the study sheet on the Google Classroom.
