Tonight's math homework is Lesson 2.6 in the Practice book, both sides.
I've gotten a few e-mails this afternoon saying that the A-plus Math Coach website is down for the count! It was too good to be true, having that backup for kids who forget their homework at school. Now we'll just all have to remember things the old fashioned way! I had a long afternoon meeting during Science class, but will give out the study sheet tomorrow for Friday's test.

Today both classes tackled more long division with two digit divisors. The students worked very hard. Room 12 has the second column of the "Hills Have Fish" sheet to do tonight, while Room 15 gets a break from written homework for the night.
Sally the Head says that Room 15 missed Science class today but did very well in the Second Steps lesson that replaced it. Room 12 talked about animal metabolism in Science class. Sorry so late tonight-- Room 15 has the "Hills Have Fish" worksheet for homework tonight. Work should be completed on a separate piece of paper or on the back of the sheet.
Room 12 only has to do the first column of the worksheet, as they are a little behind the other class in terms of the number of practice problems they've worked on in class. There's a math quiz tomorrow, and the students have a practice quiz worksheet to complete to get ready for it. The kids have a hard copy of the worksheet to bring home, and there's a link to print one from the Google Classroom (under "Classwork" section, Topic: "Math: Division."
In Science, Room 15 students worked on their Google Docs from last week and began a research activity about carnivores, omnivores, and herbivores. No homework in that subject. Yes, I know that's not the way to spell it... inside joke with the Room 12 kids.
Today we worked on multiplication, division, and numerical expressions "centers" in Room 12. The students from Room 15 worked on division with two digit divisors. Both classes also completed an ST Math session. No homework over the weekend unless there's makeup work to be done.... |
