We're all hoping that the weather report is correct and that this was the last hot and humid day we'll see this week. Still, the custodial staff at Shaw have done a great job keeping the building as cool as possible with fans and shared air conditioning, and we were actually pretty comfortable in Room 12 today.
In Math today we examined several properties of mathematics-- commutative, associative, identity, and distributive. We also had a brief run-through of one of the math centers we'll be using this year--- task cards. In Science class we worked on posters that illustrate where all of the food we eat gets its energy. We get energy by eating it, for sure, but where did the food get the energy in the first place? Tonight's homework is to finish the two "Morning Math" sheets assigned this week-- this morning's and Tuesday morning's. You can download copies from the Google Classroom if you need to.
