Today, Room 15 explored some problems involving decimal division, and used paper models to find answers to problems like 0.24 divided by 0.4 and 2.4 divided by 0.8. Room 12 looked at the mathematical procedure for finding the quotients for such problems, and has a homework assignment tonight in the Practice Book, Lesson 5.6 (both sides).
Room 12 didn't have Science class today, but Room 15 played a game about identifying producers, consumers, and decomposers, and also shared some of the paragraphs they wrote about how energy moves through an ecosystem. No Science homework tonight.

Math class was cut short for Room 15 this morning by a PBIS assembly. The class still worked on division of decimals. Room 12 got a lot farther, working on a classwork assignment where the students had to use paper models to show how decimal division works.
Both classes have a "Free Throws: The Sequel" worksheet for homework, due on Friday. In Science, both classes started a paragraph about how producers, consumers, and decomposers use energy in an ecosystem. The paragraph is for homework also, due on Friday. |
